What do we do? WE CARE!

The mission of the Angels is to build awareness and educate the community with regard to existing and/or potential neglect and abuse against children.  To provide support, monetarily and through hands on volunteer hours to neglected and abused children who are removed from an abusive situation or are in danger of removal.

How do we do it? WE ARE THERE!

From volunteering our time, fundraising, organizing parties & special events for the children & educating the community, the Angels are front & center for the children of our community that have been abused or neglected.

Who helps us do it? YOU!

The local community is imperative to helping the Angels achieve our mission. You help us bring a smile where tears & fears have shaken these children's lives. By working with entities such as the Sallie House & Help A Child, we continue to help & bring joy to these children when all they have known is sadness.  To get involved, please download our Membership Application here

The children of today are the citizens of tomorrow...

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Be a mentor for a youth in need of guidance and support

The transition out of foster care at the age of 18 is an arduous time for most youth, filled with anxieties, new responsibilities, many adjustments and a tough learning curve. Sadly, at the time when these youth need the support and guidance of an established adult the most, is also the time they lose many of their connections when they are forced out of their foster home/placements and case management services are reduced.

Mentoring has been a humbling and wonderful experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I highly recommend it if you feel called... say yes. You will figure out the rest as you go along... That's what we do.- Michelle W

Being a mentor for Ready for Life is a good opportunity to personally give of yourself to someone who does not have the benefit of a parent to lean on. It is a delicate balance of listening, giving advice and being willing to accept that you cannot control everything in the life of the young person who you mentor. I personally mentor a young man who is quickly maturing into adulthood. It is very encouraging to witness his honest ambition to make something of his life and hope that I can, in some way, be part of his future. Mentoring doesn't have an end date! – Mike M

 Please consider making a difference and enriching the life of a youth in need as well as your own. For more information please contact;
